Groucho Marx once said, “Outside of a dog, a book is man’s best friend. Inside of a dog it’s too dark to read.” Amen to that!
I get asked all the time what I am reading, and so I thought I would share with you the last few books that I have either just read, or am just in the midst of reading. Actually, it is not quite the most accurate representation because it does not include a regular diet of biblical commentaries and journal articles that fill my reading plate. But, here goes:
Enrique’s Journey: The Story of a Boy’s Dangerous Odyssey to Reunite with His Mother, by Sonia Nazario
The Gospel of Ruth, by Carolyn Custis James
No One Cares about Crazy People: The Chaos and Heartbreak of Mental Health in America, by Ron Powers
Welcoming Justice: God’s Movement Toward Community, by Charles Marsh and John Perkins
Welcoming the Stranger: Justice, Compassion and Truth in the Immigration Debate, by Matthew Soerens and Jenny Hwang Yang
Successful Leaders of the Bible, by Katara Washington Patton
❤️❤️❤️❤️ I don’t know your mom but I love her too. So sweet. Blessings.
You are the best! I love you so much, Mom! 🙂
So proud of my reader! You have surpassed all my hopes and dreams for you. God is so good!
