Jesus Wants us

Many of us long to honor Jesus through our service, routines, and disciplines. These can be good and meaningful—but they’re not the goal. Jesus doesn’t primarily want our work; He wants us. In Luke 10, Martha was busy serving while Mary sat at Jesus’ feet. Jesus gently corrected Martha—not for her service, but for her anxious striving. He said Mary had chosen the “good portion.” The lesson? Our identity isn’t in productivity, but being present with Christ. Our efforts matter, but they must flow from relationship. Jesus wants you—not your output, but your heart. Choose the better portion: be with Him.
