An Unthinkable Invitation
On the shores of Galilee, Jesus does the unthinkable. He calls fishermen to Himself with an imperative, not a suggestion. “Come after me.” His summons carries both command and comfort: align your life behind Mine; let what you see shape who you become. They left their nets immediately—letting go of what defined them. That same call still echoes. Jesus gathers people to His side, not because we qualify, but because He loves. His invitation is disruptive, liberating, holy. And He still says, “Come after Me.”
