The blood of Christ, shed on Calvary’s Tree, creates the holy space for spiritual victory–for our soul’s greatest satisfaction.
Ephesians 1:7-8 tells us that “we have redemption through [Christ’s] blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.” The blood of Christ provides for our total forgiveness.
Romans 5:9 tells us that “we have now been justified by [Christ’s] blood, [so] much more shall we be saved by him from the wrath of God.” The blood of Christ keeps us from experiencing the just wrath of a holy God.
First John 1:7 tells us that “the blood of Jesus [the] Son cleanses us from all sin.” In Christ we are made completely clean–washed, purified, renewed; like fresh fallen snow (cp. Isaiah 1:18).
Revelation 12:11 tells us that we who are in Christ “have conquered [the enemy of our souls] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of [the] testimony.” The blood of Jesus screams “Victory!” over a wicked world, our flesh, and the devil.
Ephesians 2:13 tell us that we “who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.” Because of the shed blood of Jesus, we can be close to the Lord, near to God, in proximity to him who loves us best.
Thank God right now for the shed blood of Christ. By that blood you and I are forgiven, spared from God’s wrath, made clean, victorious over the enemy of our souls, and near to God.
Hallelujah!
