Let me be painfully blunt: our world is starving for substantive leaders—true leaders—who will step up and move us forward to a preferred future. Even the simplest glance toward Washington, D.C. tells us that this much is true. Our society is hungry for men and women who will not settle for the management of mediocrity, but are willing to lead. Real, solid, integrity-driven, purposeful, and inspiring leadership is essential to effectively employing God’s resources for the furtherance of God’s mission. Indeed, such is necessary within the economy of God’s common grace and the common causes of humanity. That is part of why I cannot wait for this year’s Global Leadership Summit sponsored by the Willow Creek Association and hosted once again at Bethel Church in Fargo.

The Global Leadership Summit exists to transform Christian leaders around the world with an injection of vision, skill development, and inspiration for the sake of the local church. And in a world where those in leadership positions seem to have such a deficit when it comes to leadership skill and character, the Global Leadership Summit could not be more timely. I simply cannot emphasize how critical this gathering is for such a time as this!

Slated for August 8-9, 2013, this year’s Global Leadership Summit will be the best so far, with speakers ranging from Bill Hybels to General Colin Powell to Andy Stanley to my friend Chris Brown. If you are in North Dakota, the western part of Minnesota, the northern tier of South Dakota, or southern Manitoba, this is an event you will not want to miss.

Sign up for the Bethel Church premier host site! You will not want to pass on this year’s event, and, as past participants have ably testified, this is a gathering worth the cost, the time, the energy, and the teachability!
