George Floyd, Five Years On
Five years further I continue grieving George Floyd and all that has unfolded in the wake of his murder—not just here in Minneapolis and St. Paul, but across the nation. I don’t want to lose the Spirit-led conviction many of us felt when we saw that horrific video—that holy ache that says something must change, that God’s light must break into the darkness. The church must not remain silent on issues of racism and white supremacy. We’re called to lament, to repent, and to step into the breach. In Christ, and by the Holy Spirit’s care, we have both the calling and the power to be agents of healing.
