Gospel Clarity

Years after Jesus’ resurrection, Paul wrote to the Galatians regarding a crisis threatening gospel clarity. Jewish-Christian agitators insisted Gentiles adopt Jewish law, including circumcision, in order to belong to the community—distorting the gospel’s inclusive message. Paul passionately defended the truth: salvation is by grace through Christ’s sacrifice, which not only forgives sin but creates a new, united humanity. Today, distortions remain—whether in nationalistic religion or gospel reductionism. True gospel faithfulness embraces Jesus’ death, resurrection, and the formation of a beloved, diverse community—a new creation, experienced daily, shaped by cross-centered grace, not earthly power or exclusion.
